Emmett's Brewing Company

Emmett’s Brewing Company has three brewpubs located in the suburbs of Chicago. The locals love them, but Emmett's wanted to increase their brand awareness in the city.  What started off as a 30 second spot ended up turning into a fun interactive campaign that people actually took part in.

The Spot

Fake Craigslist Ad

Since George no longer needed his time machine, he put it up for sale. We put an ad on Craigslist that directed interested parties to the commercial on YouTube.

Flier

We made an interactive flier and hung them around the city. The QR Code linked to the commercial on YouTube. People took pictures and posted them on Instagram and Twitter with #timemachine4sale.

Responses

Hundreds of offers came in for the time machine through email, text, and voicemail.

The Science Channel caught wind of the campaign and shared the flier on their Facebook page which lead to nearly 2,400 likes and 700 shares.

On Twitter, George posted time travel tips, pictures of "this day in history" featuring the time machine, as well as some of his best offers.

The campaign created such a buzz around Chicago, local news site DNAinfo.com did a story about it. The story got prime coverage in their Daily Round-Up video.
